La edición 95° de los premios Oscar se llevarán a cabo el próximo 12 de marzo del presente año, en los que destacan varios nominados. El evento se realizará en el Dolby Theatre de Los Ángeles, Estados Unidos.
El comediante Jimmy Kimmel será el anfitrión de la ceremonia, el cual aglutinarán varias categorías, pasando desde Mejor Película hasta los más mínimos detalles que hacen brillar las obras audiovisuales.
La lista de nominados por la Academia de Cine de Hollywood, fue presentada el 24 de enero por los actores Riz Ahmed y Allison Williams, destacando: Sin novedad en el frente, Babylon, Elvis, Los Fabelman, Pinocho de Guillermo del Toro y ‘Avatar: El sentido del agua’.
Entre las películas más esperadas fue la segunda entrega de Avatar, que durante 13 años estuvo fuera de las pantallas grandes, y regresando en 2022 con el nuevo concepto “el camino del agua”. La franquicia dirigida por James Cameron, vuelve a medirse en los premios Oscar.
La producción de Cameron fue nominada en 4 categorías: Mejor Película, Mejor Sonido, Mejor Diseño de Producción y Mejores Efectos Visuales.
El largometraje, que sigue en cartelera, muestra a la pareja Jake protagonizado por el actor Sam Worthington y Neytiri por la actriz Zoe Saldaña, estando en otra etapa de sus vidas en Pandora. Los dos deben defender a sus hijos de nuevos peligros que ahora viven en una comunidad rodeada por el mar.
La producción de Cameron espera lograr el deseado Oscar que no pudo obtener en el 2010 con la categoría Mejor Película cuando fue nominada la primera entrega. Sin embargo, hasta ahora ha recibido una buena acogida por el público, con más de 2 mil millones de dólares recaudados a nivel global en taquillas, y ya se ubica en el puesto 6 de las películas más taquilleras de la historia. Además, muchos expertos en la materia lo dan como ganador en la categoría de Mejores Efectos Visuales.
